St. Mary's Cemetery, Amersham, Buckinghamshire

These photos are in no particular order, a mix of general views, and individual graves.
The graveyard is clearly set on a slope, and must have been quite tranqil and beautiful in it's time. Today it struggles to cope with 'mother nature' as land moves, and memorials struggle to maintain their dignity.

Note a few military ones, which I always try to spot, plus a number of Polish ones, apparently there has been a small but significant Polish community in the Amersham area for decades.

Somewhere in this cemetery, in an unmarked grave, is the
remains of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in
Britain.
