I visited this churchyard, in the centre of Crawley, in mid December 2008.

The first two photos are also included in the set of St. John the Baptist churchyard, in Crawley, as this memorial is situated in those grounds. I've also included a couple of memorials & the local colours from inside the church.

Memorial Gardens, Crawley, West Sussex

I took these pictures in mid-December 2008. This is an unusual memorial gardens as far as I am concenred, beccause you almost fail to notice the actual memorial. Which are the gates, tucked along the side, by a shopping centre, and not really the main focus of this central, and busy park. In actual fact I missed the gates first of all, and only found them on my return to the train station! The centrepiece of rhe gardens appears to be an eco-sculpture of metal fish! Perhaps the gardens have evolved into a modern memorial to the environment wrecked by man?
